Yesterday, I officially stopped failing to embrace Unicode. Today I'm defining basic features of Parrot that are required to be OO. Who knows, maybe tomorrow I'll enjoy programming in C.
If anyone sees a bunch of guys on horses, don't forget to offer 'em some carrots. (And watch out for guys all in black and white smoking cigarettes...)

Posted by: Clinton Pierce at June 15, 2004 03:05 PMWhat, you want me to start programming in Scheme? C'mon, there are limits, even for me!
Posted by: Dan at June 15, 2004 03:07 PMI would hardly call Scheme the dark side, considering how many features it and Parrot have in common.
I guess I fail to see the ire the Scheme receives. That much said, I've never written a large project in it either. I have written some largish projects in Common Lisp, and it's not nearly as bad as some would have you believe. Though I'm sure you have much more experience in language design than I do.
The thing I admire about scheme is one of the same things that I like about C. It's a small language that doesn't get in your way. It defines basic features and lets you build on those as you will.
I am your father, Dan.
