Merry Solstice!
Well, this is the evening when we roll out the presents and see what's come to help wear away at the winter days. The kids got a bunch of toys, as is typical (Peregrine got a gameboy advance, which has so far turned out to be less interesting than the giant robot). Me, though...
I got a blowtorch.
Not just any blowtorch, mind, but a small hand-held jobbie, perfect for Creme Brulee, Bananas Foster, and other dishes that involve sugar and flame. Cool!
