Obligatory Links Page

Filker Friends

No page of mine would be complete without a link to the Dorsai Irregulars, Fandom's loudest, most Tully-soaked Filkers, and some of the coolest folks around.

I recently did an album cover for Andrea Dale, a filker extraordinaire. Check out her site... Best luck, Andrea!

Here's a link to the page of Steve MacDonald. He's got three albums to his name, and I'm proud to be the artist behind the third album cover! Check it out!

She's truly a filker at heart... Tracy "Critter" Worchester. (Tha's pro-nownced "Wooster").

And a link to the man I hope will someday make me a harp... Muis Dreamsinger.

Here's the page of Fannish Supergroup Urban Tapestry, the only band I know that can sing about Jalapeño lovers in Three-Part harmony. They're Cooool.

MEW... You're my hero. Meet Mary Ellen Wessels, I can only hope to be as cool as MEW is, someday. Plus, she's got this really cool husband, named Ed. Hi, Ed. You're the ginchiest. Just wanted you to know. Ed and MEW just had a son, Rowan. Check him out - he's a cutie!

The Original Online Hottub

Paul Haas is one of the Original Computer Guys. Check out his hottub. His Diet Coke sensor still works, too.

Waycool Musical Resources

Go to Ann Arbor's own Ark. I can't say enough good things about this fantiastic musical establishment. Go and see for yourself. Or join the CraicHeads mailing list for regular Ark Celtic Music updates.

Check out Lark In the Morning. If you can blow into it, strum it or whack on it on one end and get music out the other, they sell it. One of the best Musical Instrument resources out there.

Our own local Elderly Instruments has gone on-line. Road-trips to their store in Lansing are a must if you play any sort of acoustic instrument. Amongst our group, we refer to Elderly as "The Musical Petting Zoo" because they let you play with all the instruments as much as you want. The last time I was there they let me plunk around on a harp that cost more than my car for an hour or so- even offered to drag it into a practice room for me. We likes them, we do.

Dale Wisely came up with the one of the coolest webpages ever, dedicated to my instrument of choice, the tinwhistle. If you ever thought of picking up a pennywhistle, take a spin past this page and sign up for his newsletter. Hoodlie Hoodlie Hoo.

Don't forget to stop by Conor O'Neill's pub, where we play every Sunday at 7ish. Drop on by!

The Crotty-Doran branch of CCE has a good deal of great links and photos, including the shots of this year's All-Ireland winners from the Detroit area.

Please visit the site of a great local band, The Raisin Pickers. They're great. Try to catch them at the Ark sometime.

Comic Book Sites

Bone is my favorite black and white comic ever, to the point where some people refer to me as "Gran'ma Ben". For years now, Jeff Smith has been a true inspiration for me, with all this comic book craziness.

Charles Vess is one of the most inspired illustrators of our time. Plus, he's got great taste in music. Don't miss Green Man Press.

For sick and twisted humor that's right up my alley, take a look at Bob the Angry Flower.

If I've missed someone, or if you want a link to your page, for heaven's sake, email me.
