Album Covers
Recently, I've had the pleasure of doing three album covers for
friends of mine. I hope to do more in the future- these were a lot of fun. By
the way, as a side note to aspiring musicians.... I work cheap! (wink wink,
nudge nudge)

Andrea's first album is called Step Out of Time, and is available on
Dodeka records. We had an awful lot of fun doing the photoshoot for the
cover- I dressed her up in silly pirate's clothes and made her come down
to the Huron River and pose for me... She has some of the photos up on
her web site. |

This is the cover for Steve's third album. I consider it a pretty big
honor to have Steve ask me to paint it- Steve has gained a reputation
as one of the better filkers out there. The process was a lot of fun,
too - I did the painting, largely under Steve's direction, in about 16
hours. Steve entertained me on his 12-string whilst I painted. Visit Steve MacDonald's web wite |

This was a wonderfully fun job I did about 2 years ago for a good friend,
Mark Bernstein. Mark's just about the best storyteller I know, as well as a great actor, director
and singer. Mark used his myriad talents to record this spoken-word collection of
stories and monologues, some of which he wrote himself. Recorded live at Ypsilanti's
St. Luke's Episcopal, the album also features a bunch of us laughing in the background- and
groaning at his Spoonerisms! |
