CODE OF HONOR: Uphold ideals of the Legion
BACKGROUND: Luornu Durgo comes from Cargg, a planet where every inhabitant has the ability to split into three identical bodies. While most Carggites have a single personality which controls all three bodies, Lu has always seen her three selves as "sisters," each with her own motivations (a trait which her beloved grandmother also possessed). When this tendency was discovered, it made her an outcast in the staid and repressive society of Cargg.
Lu's multiple personalities are not schizophrenia. In fact, they seem to make her more creative, stable and versatile than most Carggites. One of Lu's selves, who wears a purple uniform, is flirtatious, mischievous and outgoing. Another, which wears an orange uniform, is diligent and reliable, but a bit apprehensive and insecure. The third body (which seems to be the most dominant personality) wears the two-color uniform that Lu wears combined, and is rational, mature and assertive. There is a certain empathic rapport between the three Triads, in that when one is in extreme physical or psychological distreess, the other two are aware that something dangerous is happening, even if they are physically out of communication with one another.
Lu finally fled to Earth to escape prejudice on Cargg. Very few Carggites ever immigrate, and her racial abilities combined with natural intelligence gained her a position as the executive assistant to R.J. Brande, despite her lack of experience (the sixth-richest sentient in the galaxy needs and assistant with six hands and three heads, and it doesn't hurt if she's attractive and pleasant to talk to, and a competent bodyguard in a pinch). She was one of the first two Legionnairs to join after the founding.
Cargg is a Gandian world, and Lu was raised in an devoutly Valorist household. Her face-to-face meeting with her messiah has has raised deep questions in her mind, but she appears to be dealing with them (at least she's gotten over averting her eyes and calling him "Lord Valor" when talking to M'onel - much to his relief).
As a Legionnaire, she works hard to keep the morale of the rest of the team high, and is always pushing the Legion to take on new challenges. She bristles whenever it's suggested that she be excluded from combat-intensive missions (because she has some deep apprehensions about her own power levels).
As a young girl, Lu intensively studied the traditional Carggite martial art of tri-jitsu, as a way of asserting her personal worth. This training makes her an effective hand-to-hand combatant.
Her special abilities from Tri-Jitsu are the Enhanced Dodge, which stems from her ability to confuse opponants by splitting and combining unpredictably, and the Multi-Body Combinations skill, which allows a Carggite to co-ordinate the attacks from all three bodies for maximum effect (exact effects left to the GM, for now).
