Candi Pyponte-Le Parc is a native of Zanthu, where her family apparently enjoys some affluence and social standing. As a result of an "accident" of unknown nature, Candi acquired super strength, virtual invulnerability, green skin and several hundred additional kilos of mass. She also possess the ability to absorb radiation. Candi appears to have accepted her physical alteration with commendable elan. Despite her ironic code name, she does not carry herself as a "monster" of any sort. She remains outgoing and aggressively feminine in her manner. (In fact, her socially forward and familiar demenor can sometimes become annoying, particularly to her more reserved teammates). At heart, her compassion and concern for the welfare of others appears to be deeply genuine. Candi served with distinction in the Xanthusian super-team, the Uncanny Amazers, until the battle against Mordru, after which she rather brazenly nominated herself for Legion membership. Having seen her capabilities in battle, a majority of the active team voted her into the Legion. A dedicated "material girl" who LOVES new and pretty things, Candi has become something of a terror to the Legion's Athrimite concierge staff. In combat she is level headed and methodical. Note that her Sumo Wrestling skill does not necessarily indicate study of the classic Japanese sport of Sumo, but is intended rather as a measure of her skill in using her mass either defensively (remaining unmoved) or offensively (moving others) in combat.
